How To Make A Digital Comic Book – Step 2 “Organizing & Archiving “

After successfully editing each page, you’ve officially passed the hardest part of the whole process. The rest of job is purely technical but fairly easy.

Now that all the pages of the comic are set, you then create a folder named after the comic and add all the scanned images to it. Usually all scanned images are sorted numerically to avoid confusion, however if you’re going to sort them alphabetically you must name the files carefully to avoid misplacement.

Files are sorted numerically in a named folder

Archiving is a very easy step, all you have to do is compress the folder containing the scanned images into .rar or .zip.

To turn your archive into a readable comic book file format, you simply replace the words .zip/.rar into .cbr or .cbz, this creates an image archive gallery that can be viewed using different softwares.
